Who will WIN Love Island 2023? Psychologists reveal the most compatible pair ... trends now

Love Island is on the horizon once again, with 10 hot singletons heading to the villa on Monday.

Its tears and tantrums have become a staple of summertime, with many ditching a night in the pub garden to watch the latest drama unfold.

While contestants may not put their eggs in one basket, MailOnline has asked an expert to hedge their bets on the winning couple before the show even starts.

Psychologist Dr Louise Goddard-Crawley assessed body language and attitude to make all sorts of predictions based on the early teaser footage released by ITV.

So, where's your head at? Get ready for a rundown of all things muggy in our exclusive Love Island predictions.

COULD TYRIQUE AND RUCHEE BE THE WINNING COUPLE?

Dr Goddard-Crawley believes this pair could have some chemistry based on their similarities.

She said: 'Tyrique and Ruchee indeed appear to have potential compatibility as a couple.

'Both individuals demonstrate a strong and robust ego, indicating a healthy sense of self-assurance and confidence.'

George: Imposter syndrome?

George, 24, is a 'cheeky chappy' from Bedford who just 'loves dropping game'.

The Business Development Executive claims he has the 'gift of the gab', tailoring his chat to any situation - whether it be TikTok with Gen-Zers or Bingo with '40 to 50 year olds'.

Yet beneath the guise of confidence, Dr Goddard-Crawley claims there could be some confidence issues at play.

She told MailOnline: 'I wonder if George may grapple with some feelings of imposter syndrome when he is on Love Island.

'Despite his confident words, there appears to be a discrepancy between his verbal expression and his non-verbal cues and overall demeanor.'

Ella: Disconnected from reality?

This 23-year-old from Glasgow is looking for a man 'above six foot' who won't take her for granted.

'You know when people ask like "what's your love language?" Mine is literally all of them. I just love it when guys like sell me a dream,' she told the show.

'I would say I am a bit high maintenance. Sometimes I just feel like I'm living in my own movie and I'm the star.'

While it appears Ella is ready to crack on, Dr Goddard-Crawley wonders if her romantic ideals are a bit disconnected from reality.

'There appears to be a noticeable disconnection observed in Ella's perception of relationships, suggesting that she may become engrossed in the idealised fantasy of what a relationship should be rather than acknowledging its reality,' she told MailOnline.

'Effective communication will be crucial for Ella during her time on love island. She might possess certain expectations regarding how she deserves to be treated or what constitutes a healthy relationship, yet she may struggle to express these needs confidently.'

The psychologist also believes that Ella could be masking insecurities as she boldly sells herself as the 'full package'.

She continued: 'In describing her own self-worth, Ella displays a lack of connection as she frequently masks what she is saying with laughter, seemingly attempting to downplay the significance of her statements/ how she really feels about herself.'

Mehdi: A perfect match?

Hunky: Next in the line-up is hunky French model Mehdi Edno who 'always gets what he wants'

Hunky: Next in the line-up is hunky French model Mehdi Edno who 'always gets what he wants'

Medhi is a six-foot-two man from France, and despite being single for more than two years, this 26-year-old claims he always gets what he wants.

'I'm so excited to be in the villa because I can bring fire and make girls fall in love with me, ' he said.

While this may give you the ick, Dr Goddard-Crawley believes Medhi really could have the power to win Ella's heart.

The psychologist noticed that Medhi maintains strong and consistent eye contact with the camera, portraying a sense of ease.

She told MailOnline: 'The potential pairing of Mehdi and Ella could indeed create a compelling couple dynamic. Both individuals seem to have a tendency towards dopamine-driven attachments, where the initial excitement and thrill of a relationship play a significant role.

In such a relationship, the intensity of the dopamine-driven attachments may be in control, potentially overshadowing a deeper understanding of each other's needs and values.

'This could result in a relationship that is primarily focused on the excitement and thrill, rather than fostering a strong foundation of emotional connection and compatibility.'

Molly: Drawn to the drama?

Molly, 21, is a musical theatre performer who lives on a farm in Doncaster.

While Molly sings, dances and acts for work, she claims the drama doesn't play to her personal life.

'I don't drink, I don't use dating apps. It's literally a problem for some people and it's like "you're a party pooper", "you're boring". But that's not the case.

'But that's not the case. I am very fun and very outgoing.'

With numerous tattoos and a pet chicken called Coccaleta, Dr Goddard-Crawley picked up on Molly's connection to the natural world.

'I was struck by the presence of earthy and natural elements, which also seem to align with her descriptions of her physical appearance,' she told MailOnline.

'However, a noticeable contrast emerges when it comes to her fashion choices, where she tends to adopt a more "out there" and "theatrical" tendencies.

'This incongruity could suggest a potential disparity between her internal sense of self and the image she projects outwardly.'

Dr Goddard-Crawley believes Molly may be attracted to other more theatrical characters on the island, but warns they may be 'confined to the realm of public image'.

Andre: Most competitive?

This 'top grafter' warns that his 'wandering eye' may stir the pot on this season of Love Island.
