The grieving father of Lucie Blackman has vowed to stop the twisted man who dismembered his daughter's body from being released from jail.
To mark what would have been her 40th birthday, Tim Blackman has said he will do everything in his power to stop serial rapist, Joji Obara, from being freed.
Obara was jailed for life in 2008 after he drugged and cut up the former flight attendant's body.
Lucie Blackman's body was not found until seven months after her disappearance in Tokyo
Tim Blackman, the father of murdered Tokyo hostess Lucie Blackman, has vowed to fight against the release of his daughter's killr
Her badly decomposed body meant Obara was able to avoid being jailed for murder as a cause of death could not be established.
Obara, who police believe could have raped up to 400 women after drugging them and filming his horrific crimes, may be eligible for parole in less than two years.
Mr Blackman told the Mirror: 'If I thought he was going to be eligible for parole at some point I would really seriously look in to doing everything I could to stop it. He has never taken any responsibility, admitted guilt or shown any contrition.'
Ms Blackman went missing in Tokyo in July 2000, where she was working as a bar hostess.
Her body was found in February 2001 in a sea cave just a few hundred yard from Obara's home.
