How SA politicians cost taxpayers $3.4m for expenses in three months

Federal politicians from South Australia have charged taxpayers a whopping $3.4million for expenses in the last three months. 

A $108,000 printing bill was claimed by Labor MP Amanda Rishworth, who told The Advertiser the money was spent on a pamphlet for pensioners and two newsletters between April and June.

Liberal MP Rowan Ramsey being one of four politicians to claim an excess payment for a private-plated car after a collision with a kangaroo damaged his vehicle.

Ms Rishworth blamed the costly printing bill on the fact that the 'pretty big document' was in high demand by South Australian residents.

Liberal Boothby MP Nicolle Flint's office had the second biggest outlay on printing -spending $96,675 in the same three month period.
