Three people have been injured in Birmingham city centre where they were stabbed this afternoon.
West Midlands Police confirmed they were called just before 5.45pm but said the extent of the victims' injuries is not clear.
Minutes later a person was also stabbed in East London as emergency services rushed to Hackney Central station.

The three Birmingham victims are being treated at hospital as police investigate CCTV footage from the city centre.
A brawl is believed to have broken out as around 100 youths were reportedly hanging around in the area.
Unconfirmed reports suggest three people were injured in a street fight that broke out shortly after a large group of youths had gathered at the scene, close to several bus stands.
The incident comes despite a heightened security presence in the city for the Conservative Party Conference.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said of the victims: 'The extent of their injuries is not clear.
'A police cordon is in place around the High Street and Dale End area.'
It's not thought any arrests have been made so far. West Midlands Police issued a statement earlier this evening appealing for information.
The force sad: 'Investigations are at a very early stage and CCTV is being examined.'
