As Mitch McConnell pushes through the vote on Brett Kavanaugh becoming a Supreme Court Justice, DailyMail.com has discovered the Senate Majority Leader's own family hold radically different views.  

DailyMail.com can reveal McConnell's family are fiercely opposed to Kavanaugh getting on the court - with his daughter Porter McConnell, 39, the youngest from his first marriage to Sherrill Redmon, accusing the Republicans of 'misogyny'.

Also opposed is son-in-law Richard Jerram, who has accused Kavanaugh of committing perjury during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Porter also retweeted a post attacking Republican Senator for Iowa Chuck Grassley, a keen supporter of Kavanaugh. The post criticizes Grassley for receiving farm subsidies.

Porter retweeted a post which read: 'Irony is dead: Moments after discussed the importance of due process vis-á-vis Kavanaugh, emphasizing that people should be presumed innocent until proven guilty, the crowd in Mississippi chanted 'lock her up' about .'

Underneath the post Porter, whose Twitter profile states 'views are my own' wrote: 'That ain't irony, it's misogyny.' 

She also retweeted a post attacking Republican Senator for Iowa Chuck Grassley, a keen supporter of Kavanaugh.

The post criticizes Grassley for receiving farm subsidies.

It states: 'Chuck Grassley: Net worth: $3.3 million, owns a town house in Arlington, VA, owns a $1.7 million, 750 acre farm in Iowa, owns a separate property in Iowa. He's now applying for Wypipo welfare. Yup, that $12 billion bailout WE payed farmers, is going to a millionaire.'.

Porter is Take On Wall Street campaign director at Washington,DC-based non-profit group Americans for Financial Reform.

Her husband Thomas Flores, 42, is an associate professor at the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Harvard-educated Flores, also a Fulbright scholar, wrote 'Elections in Hard Times: Building Stronger Democracies in the 21st Century.' 

On September 18, Porter also retweeted a post from the website standwithblaseyford.com which announced that 599 alumnae from Christine Blasey Ford's Holton-Arms School in Baltimore, Maryland had written in support of the Kavanaugh accuser.

And on September 24, Porter poured scorn on the announcement from Kavanaugh's team he had calendars from 1982 which did not show a party matching Ford's account of when she claimed he assaulted her.

DailyMail.com has also discovered one of Kavanaugh's fiercest detractors is McConnell's son-in-law Richard Jerram, a dance and meditation teacher.
