Hollie Connis was found collapsed by her partner who set off a fire alarm to get help at the luxury Glan y Gro Lakeside Suites in Llangower, Bala, Wales. The 23-year-old's cause of death is currently unknown - and a man is helping police with their enquiries. Today Hollie's grandmother led the tributes to her 'gorgeous granddaughter' on Facebook, as messages of condolence poured in on social media. 'What a day my gorgeous Granddaughter passed away today,' she wrote, adding: 'No words to say how all our family are heartbroken. 'Hope you are at peace my lovely granddaughter.' Well-wishers flooded the post with comments paying tribute to Ms Connis. Colette Randles said she was the 'most beautiful person' that her 'smile lit up the room'. Maria Boyd said she was 'absolutely heartbroken' and Rebecca Stead said she was 'in shock' at the news. 'So young to be taken but u are safe and at peace with the angels,' she wrote. 'Rest in peace beautiful girl.' Rob Moore, who owns the lakeside suites, was woken by a fire alarm shortly after 5am at the retreat Llangower, Bala, and gave her CPR on New Year's Day. Ms Collis, pictured with a friend, was said to be on a 'romantic getaway' when the tragedy happened He said that she came 'for a romantic getaway' and was in 'high spirits' when she checked in. 'I tried CPR on her until the ambulance arrived, but it's all a blur as the fire alarm was going off and her partner was in a complete state. 'It was a horrible situation.' Hollie travelled 50 miles from her home in Merseyside to the Bala retreat. She died after an ambulance arrived. Police officers sealed off the area and forensics teams carried out investigations for several hours yesterday morning. 'A young man is currently helping us with our enquiries. However, a forensic postmortem examination is scheduled to take place tomorrow to determine the precise cause of death, and the coroner has been informed.
