Brazilian police are investigating £23,300 of 'suspicious' cash transfers into the bank account of President Jair Bolsonaro's eldest son a day after the Supreme Court paused a probe on his driver.
Between June and July 2017, 48 deposits of 2,000 reais each were deposited into the bank account of Senator-elect Flavio Bolsonaro, reports Jornal Nacional, Brazil's most respected newscast.
That totals to 96,000 reais, or about $30,000 (£23,300) at the average exchange rate of that year.
The origin of the money was unclear, but the fact that they were all of the same amount and made at a bank at Rio's
