This is the terrifying moment a man pours petrol on a front door and sets it on fire as a mother sits inside.
In the CCTV clip, filmed in Leicester, a man can be seen entering the family's yard and pouring a liquid, later found to be petrol, on the 'heavy duty' door.
He then sets the door alight and makes a hasty exit, jumping away from the growing flames as they lick around the frame.

A man who lives in the property said his mother had been home at the time of the attack.
He said: 'I was out, but my mum was in at the time.
'She wasn't feeling well and had been thinking about having an early night. Thank the Lord she hadn't gone up and gone to sleep.'
The family also said the unknown man had thrown a jar at their door 20 minutes before it was set on fire.
It is believed this jar contained a flammable liquid which failed to ignite. He was spotted returning to the patio to retrieve the broken jar at the start of the clip.
