'Bling King' caught driving his Porsche along Essex roads with his feet on the ...

A ‘bling king’ who changed his name and fled to Dubai after police found clips of him racing his Porsche Carrera Turbo S at 180mph with his feet on the dashboard, is finally behind bars.

Adam Ali, 30, skipped bail after police searched his home in Harlow, Essex and recovered 19 handgun bullets along with an iPhone 6 containing 50,000 photos and more than 1,000 videos.

Two clips filmed by Ali showed him smashing the speed limit in his white supercar and showing off a gold Rolex.

While on the run, Ali lived a ‘lavish and luxurious lifestyle’ and regularly taunted police through his Instagram feed, sharing images of himself in clubs and driving other sports cars.

He also shared pictures of himself posing with celebrities such as Gordon Ramsay and Anthony Joshua.

Ali was arrested and charged on January 11, 2017 but fled to Dubai on the first day of his trial.

The first video discovered by police was recorded in July 2015 and showed Ali bragging about his Porsche before flooring the accelerator from a standstill up to 147mph as he sped along the A414 between Harlow and London.

In another, recorded in October 2015, Ali held the steering wheel in one hand with his foot up on the dash as he hit speeds of more than 100mph on the M11.

One clip showed Ali driving with his one-year-old son in the front seat, while another video saw him hit speeds of up to 180mph, making it hard to determine whether he was actually on a British road as the signs passed by in a blur.

Police discovered cash, ammunition and an iPhone at his address, which was filled with videos of him, including one where he drove with his foot on the dashboard

Ali was convicted by a jury of two counts of dangerous driving and possessing ammunition at Southwark Crown Court and jailed for three years in his absence in October 2017.

Prosecutor John Greenan had told the court: ‘This defendant is believed to be abroad at the moment and he seems to have obtained a passport in a different name.

‘So, he has gone to fairly significant measures to absent himself from these proceedings.’

Officers had confiscated his passport before Ali changed his name by deed poll and applied for a new one, flying to Dubai two days before he was to be tried for possessing a quantity of bullets.
