ITV confirmed their documentary about Fred and Rose West has been postponed for 'legal reasons' just hours before it was due to air .
The programme, 'Fred and Rose West: The Real Story with Trevor McDonald', was due to air at 9pm yesterday evening.
But hours before, ITV began advertising that a repeat of Trevor McDonald's Death Row would shown instead.

An ITV representative told the Mirror: 'Broadcast has been postponed for legal reasons and the film will be scheduled for a later date.'
Fred and Rose West raped, tortured and murdered 12 women and young girls during a 20-year reign of terror between 1967 and 1987 - including their own daughter Heather.
The new documentary presented by Sir Trevor McDonald exposes the details behind their sickening crimes, and it is revealed for the first time Rose was more violent than her husband.
In the programme, Sir Trevor revisited the 'house of horrors' on 25 Cromwell Street - which has now been torn down but where many of their heinous crimes were committed.
Along with exclusive interviews with people who had not spoken about the crimes before, reports leaked about the documentary said it was focused on the role Rose West played in the crimes.

The documentary was said to suggest she was 'actively involved' and helped lure some of the 12 victims to their death by kidnapping them.
