The family of a six-year-old girl have walked out of a murder trial today after harrowing photos of her dead body were shown to a jury.
Alesha MacPhail was found naked and dumped in woodland near a house where she was staying on the Isle of Bute in Scotland last July.
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, denies taking her from her bed, raping and murdering her and is on trial at Glasgow High Court.
Members of the jury were shown the horrific pictures today as the trial opened and Alesha's family walked out shortly before they were revealed.
