Police visited a woman at least 12 times before she was stabbed to death by her jealous boyfriend who was convinced she was seeing other men, an inquest heard today.
Kevin O'Regan, 39, was jailed for life with a minimum of 20 years after he repeatedly stabbed Donna Williamson, 44, in the chest at her flat in Grove Park, south east London, on August 12 2016.
Detective Inspector Lee Barnard, operational lead for the Met’s Stalking Threat Assessment Centre, told Southwark Coroner’s Court that there were a number of occasions where Ms Williamson was not assessed properly by police.

He said police were called to Ms Williamson's address at least a dozen times - including twice in one day - but failed to refer her to the Met's community safety unit, which is responsible for monitoring victims of domestic violence.
