The Transportation Security Administration has revealed the strangest objects travelers attempted to carry in their hand luggage in 2018.

TSA released a top 10 list Monday showing weird things their officers caught at security checkpoints around the United States and some items were more surprising than others.

Among the finds were what appeared to be a bomb at first look and seemingly a pair of grenades. Someone even deemed it okay to carry finger blades on their trip.

Although they turned out to be fake, it's a wonder why people thought they'd easily clear security and leave their fellow passengers at ease before boarding a plane.

In a social media video, TSA shared the discoveries with their followers and the company behind the 'grenades' – which are actually bottle openers – shared that they'd made the list before. They insisted the items aren't as terrifying as they look.

'Hey guys! Not proud we topped your list again but we promise, they are safe!!,' Bottle Breacher posted.

The company warns customers not to take them when traveling by air.

'The grenades were 'dressed' for a formal event, in tuxedos and were accompanied by a large set of instructions to not pack them for a flight. But alas, this traveler ignored the instructions provided by the manufacturer and it resulted in the grenades being confiscated,' TSA pointed out about the August 20, 2018 discovery at Newark Liberty International Airport.

'You may think that it doesn't matter if novelty grenades are brought onto an airplane in a checked bag, but for starters, bringing them with you will trigger an alarm in the checked baggage room, resulting in the bag being opened. If brought to a checkpoint, it will delay not only you, but the others in line and your traveling companions.
