A Tennessee mom tried a virtual reality headset for the first time and her adult child captured her hilarious reaction on camera.

The mother can be seen kicking and squealing, in what seems like both delight and panic, as the video of her first VR experience plays out.

At the end of the clip she takes off the headset to reveal she's been crying real tears, as she says, 'Oh my Lord' and 'That was awful!' 

Her animated reaction was captured on camera on December 19 in Memphis.

'She got so into it she was kicking, screaming, and even cried,' the child of the woman in the video said, explaining that apparently the experience 'was a bit too real for her,' as the mother tried out VR for the very first time. 

'I got the Oculus Go Virtual Reality headset for Christmas and I offered my mom a turn with it,' the child said.

'She had never used VR before and was shocked by how real it was.'
