An Indonesian man has been mauled to death by a crocodile in Malaysia in front of his horrified nephew while hunting for crabs. 

Muh Tahir Majid Syam went missing while on the trip with his nephew on Tuesday by a river in Sarawak state on jungle-clad Borneo island.

The 40-year-old's shocked nephew, Muhammad Arfian Putra Effendy, 24, spotted the victim disappear into the river during the attack.

While looking for him, the younger man suddenly saw his uncle's head pop up above the water's surface
