Newport Beach Police Department were summoned to a home in the Bonita Canyon community on Wednesday night, after an encounter with a man at an emergency room spurred a welfare check at the property. Officers found two women and a man dead inside 36 Palazzo, Bonita Canyon Drive. Police say all three of the slain victims were known to one another, and a man has been taken into custody on suspicion of their murder. Police were altered to the home at the Bonita Canyon community (pictured) after encountering a man in an emergency room The suspect has been confirmed to be the same man police encountered at Irvine Medical Center, but officers are refusing to release information about his identity at this time. He was said to still be at the medical facility in the early hours of Thursday morning, before police transported him to a holding facility at the Orange County Sheriff's Office. 'It appears that all the involved parties were known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the area,' Newport Beach Police Spokesperson Heather Rangel said in a statement. Police have not released any details of the suspect or the victims. But Police continue their investigation of the property as of Thursday morning Much of the road continues to be cordoned off with crime scene tape. There is no other outstanding suspects and police said there was 'no on-going threat' to the area Police encountered the suspect in Irvine Medical Center. They haven't yet revealed whether he's been arrested, Still in the preliminary stages of their investigation, police are also yet to confirm the identity of the three victims and their cause of death. Detectives and investigators remain at the property as of Thursday morning. Much of the gated community is still cordoned off with crime scene tape.
