One of the hooded thieves grabs expensive phones and stuffs them into a bag before fleeing back to the car. Northumbria Police were called after an alarm was activated at around 4.10am on Tuesday 29 January. They found the shop had been broken into and the thieves had ransacked the place of stock. PC David Hudson, from Northumbria Police, said: 'The significant damage to the shopping centre and the burglary has caused substantial financial loss for the businesses involved. 'An investigation has been launched, and I urge anyone with information or who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed something, to get in touch.'
