Two of his brothers, twin Abdullah, 18, and Jaffar, 17, died fighting with rebel forces in Syria. They are still trying to establish the circumstances that led to Abdul's death Abdul (pictured) is the brother of Jaffar and Abdullah who died fighting in Syria in 2014 His injuries were sustained as a result of the stabbing and not the car crash, police have confirmed His elder brother Amer is still believed to be fighting in Syria. Abdul has previously been jailed for possession of MDMA. Chief inspector Andy Bennett said: 'We are trying to establish the exact circumstances of what has led to this young man's tragic death. 'We are aware that the car was in a collision with other vehicles shortly before he was found to have suffered these injuries, which we are satisfied were caused maliciously and not as a result of the collision. 'We would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the collision or who may have seen something that they may now regard as suspicious in the time leading up to it. 'Our thoughts are with Abdul's family and friends at this tragic time and we have specialist family liaison officers supporting them.'
