Olympic cyclist Jason Kenny has blasted a driver who 'almost ran over' him and his 18-month-old son when they were out for a bike ride.

The six-time gold medallist, 30, was cycling with his young son Albert near his home in Knutsford, Cheshire, yesterday when a 'van driver drove at them'.

After the near-collision Kenny claims the motorist 'angrily informed him it was his fault' he and the youngster 'nearly died'.

He took to Twitter to express his anger, asking: 'Do we think that little of cyclists in this country?'

Kenny has been married to fellow champion cyclist Laura Trott, 26, since 2016. She gave birth to their first son Albert Louie Kenny the following year.
