Two children found the kitten after they heard his cries coming from a drain in the coastal town of Portarlington, Victoria. The family of the two children took Purrcy in and contacted Geelong Animal Rescue for help who were able to find a foster mother to take care of the adorable kitten. Purrcy was found by two children in a tied plastic bag alongside his dead brother down a drain Geelong Animal Rescue director Jordan Baker said that the two children were able to find Purrcy because the young kitten had a loud cry. 'Even at a day old he had an amazing set of lungs on him,' Mrs Barker told the Geelong Advertiser. The two children found the kitten after they heard its cries coming from a drain Mrs Baker said that the dumping of animals isn't uncommon and people need to be aware of it even if they don't like hearing it. 'It does take its toll and you don't want to spread that distress, but we do feel this is something people need to be aware of. 'Dumping animals isn't an option.' Geelong Animal Rescue took to social media to spread the word about what happened to Purrcy and his brother. 'It is illegal, amoral and cruel,' Geelong Animal Rescue said on Facebook. 'Thank you to the two children who found him, you are life savers and all round amazing.' The group also expressed anger towards the person who put Purrcy and his brother in the drain. 'To the person who did this, we hope one day when you are at your most vulnerable that someone shows you more compassion than you did for Purrcy and his brother.' Purrcy was taken to Geelong Animal Rescue and is being looked after by a foster mother Read more: Share or comment on this article: All rights reserved for this news site dailymail and under his responsibility
