Police are investigating whether a personal trainer who died in a home invasion visited the same gym as the father he struggled with during the incident.
Bradley Soper, 35, died after he made his way into a Harrington Park home in Sydney's south-west and became involved in a fight with homeowner Johann Schwartz, 44, on Sunday morning.
Police probing the death are examining whether both men were known to each other beforehand.
Detectives are trying to find out if Soper and Mr Schwartz visited the same Fitness First on Bond Street in the CBD, The Daily Telegraph reported.

'One of the lines of inquiry we’re looking into is if the two men are known to each other,' a police source said.
One trainer said he was certain the pair would've known 'each other by sight'.
Soper had worked at numerous gyms across the CBD over the past three years.
The publication understands Soper had worked at Snap Fitness on George Street and Lift Performance Centre in Redfern.
