Drunk father, 39, arrested for public intoxication after he tipped $22K at a Nashville bar and had 'waitresses competing to serve him' Friends of Joel Boyers, 39,  told police they received strange texts from the Bellevue man admitting to taking drugs that 'increased his intelligence'  He also allegedly admitted to friends that he had been drinking and was carrying his gun at the same time Police found Boyers at the JW Marriot hotel on Eighth Avenue South on Monday He had been causing a ruckus at the store when he dropped $22K at the bar and had waitresses fighting over him Boyers was charged with public intoxication and with possession of a firearm while intoxicated The arrest affidavit did indicate that Boyers allegedly 'made bizarre statements about giving away his child on Facebook' He took to Facebook to share that he was simply looking for a babysitter for his toddler daughter
