Rugby league Immortal and Australian Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga has spoken out against allowing players to compete while facing criminal charges.
His comments come in the wake of St George Illawarra player Jack De Belin fighting charges of raping a woman in company at a unit in Wollongong in December.
Meninga is highly regarded within the rugby league world and has dropped players in the past who've been charged with a criminal offence.
