A business owner who refused to complete a lesbian couple's tax return said she did so because of her religious beliefs.
Bailey and Samantha Brazzel sought to have their tax return done at Carter Tax Service in Russiaville, Indiana, but the owner turned her away.
Nancy Fivecoate, 66, said her views are protected under the state's Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which was signed into law by Indiana Governor Mike Pence in March 2015. The following month, an amendment to protect LGBT people from discrimination was added.
