He made off with a bag filled with cash after he entered the Westpac branch on Marrickville Road in Sydney's inner-west at 3.45pm on Thursday. The man is believed to have been unarmed during the robbery and an exact figure of the money stolen is still unknown. An employee at the nearby bistro Chargrill ChickenVille told The Daily Telegraph the robbery was out of the ordinary. 'There was a woman standing at the counter with her money next to her, then this man just walked in and ran off with it,' she said. 'It was so weird, it doesn’t seem like the place for a bank robbery.' A Westpac spokesperson said nobody was injured during the robbery. 'No customers or employees were injured during the incident, and we are offering support and counselling to our employees,' she said. 'We are working with police as they investigate the matter.'
