A memorial statue of a little boy who drowned in a dam in Queensland has been stolen by heinous thieves three years after its was erected.
The statue of 6-year-old Jared Bannah, who drowned at Mount Morgan Dam near Rockhampton, was stolen between November 30 and December 2 in 2018.
The resin cast of the child, which is painted bronze, was erected in 2015 and paid for by a member of the public to commemorate the boy's life.

Queensland Police Service posted a message about the theft along with a photo of the statue on their Facebook page on Friday.
'A family has been left devastated after a memorial dedicated to their son who tragically drowned at Mount Morgan Dam was stolen at the end of last year,' the message stated.
The photo shows the bronzed child sitting cross-legged on a rock plinth while holding a mason jar, with perfectly positioned flowers in his lap.
