Terror-bride Shamima Begum, 19, 'nursed wounded ISIS fighters'

ISIS bride Shamima Begum cared for wounded jihadis and nursed them back to health so they could get back to fighting US-led coalition forces, it emerged today.

The remorseless 19-year-old claimed she had lived a 'normal life' after fleeing Bethnal Green for Syria, marrying a Dutch Muslim convert fighter and having his children.

But today security sources claimed that while she may have started her ISIS life as a housewife she later helped with its war effort.

It is alleged she worked in crumbling caliphate's National Hospital in its de facto capital Raqqa.

First she cleaned wards and changed beds before changing bandages and caring for soldiers with gunshot wounds and other injuries.

He added: 'We are not clear if Begum worked as a volunteer or was forced, but she willingly flew to Turkey and got across the border to join ISIS.'

Begum has had her US passport torn up - but her son Jerah, reportedly named after a 7th century Islamic warlord, will have the right to be a British citizen.

She believed that Britain should show her 'sympathy and understanding' and let her come back to London - but the UK says he 'actions must have consequences'.
