A couple has sued Planned Parenthood for child support after an abortion procedure failed to terminate their pregnancy.

Bianca Coons and Cristobal Ruiz filed the lawsuit against a Planned Parenthood in Albuquerque, New Mexico demanding $765,000 for the cost of raising the child and other damages, the Albuquerque Journal reported.

In February 2016, the couple drove more than 700 miles from their home in Idaho to the abortion clinic in New Mexico, according to the suit. 

Coons was six weeks pregnant at the time, and feared that Idaho's mandatory waiting period would take her further into the pregnancy than she felt
