A 15-year-old boy was fatally gunned down on Friday in Brooklyn while going out to get something to eat in what police suspect is a case of mistaken identity.

Samuel Joseph was shot in the face, neck and chest just a few feet from his home near the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and East 26th Street in Flatbush-Ditmas Park just before 6pm on Friday evening, WPIX-TV reported.

Joseph’s sister was standing just a few feet away from him when he was shot, police sources told the New York Daily News.

First responders arrived on the scene and rushed Joseph to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

‘He was just going to get some food,’ Don Joseph, Samuel’s brother, said on Saturday.
