Social media users have reacted with fury after a man responded to a Conservative MPs Twitter tribute to her dead son with comments about austerity.

Tory MP Antoinette Sandbach posted a poignant tribute to her son Sam who died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) in 2009.

She said: 'My little boy Sam died 10 years ago today #muchloved #alwayswonderwhatcouldhavebeen.'
