Retired NBA star and New York City basketball legend Kenny Anderson has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke.

The 48-year-old Anderson's health scare was revealed by former NBA player Ron Harper on Twitter: 'Let's say a prayers for my guy kennyandersonofficial who is the hospital after having a stroke over the weekend. You're in my thoughts my brother.'

A woman who answered Anderson's cell phone confirmed the stroke to the New York Daily News, explaining that he is now 'doing well' in recovery.
