Bodybuilding legend Jeff Everson has been found dead in his bed at age 68. 

Everson's body was discovered on Monday at his home in Los Angeles by his roommate and former fiancee, who had just returned from a work trip, according to TMZ. 

Authorities reportedly believe that he may have died days earlier of natural causes as there were no signs of foul play and it did not appear that he had taken his own life. 

Family members told TMZ that Everson had recently complained of pain in his legs and feet, which he suspected was merely the result of years of powerlifting - not something more serious.
