One lucky ticket holder became $40million richer after the Powerball numbers dropped on Thursday night.

The Division One prize was finally claimed after five straight draws failed to find a winner – meaning the prize pool had snowballed. 

However, many disappointed players were shocked at the incredibly low sequence of winning numbers. The winning numbers were 7, 5, 13, 4, 2, 14, 11, and the Powerball number was 14.
