Trembling dog is saved by rescuers from a narrow ledge

This is the heartwarming moment rescuers save a terrified lost dog after it fell through a gap on a 165ft motorway bridge and became stranded. 

Footage shows workers in a crane hauling the trembling dog to safety from a small ledge on the flyover in Bangkok, Thailand. 

The five-year-old pooch named Leo had become trapped after it ran away from its owner's home and chased passing cars along the highway.   

A driver saw the dog wandering along the busy road but before emergency services could arrive, he slipped through a gap in the concrete pillar.

Rescuers arrived and spotted the dog trembling on a narrow 2ft ledge and tried to haul him to safety.
