Tyler Hainey has only been riding for 16 months but he already has an army of Instagram followers, two titles under his belt and is dreaming of world-class competitions. The young prodigy from Bracknell has earned the nickname Little Wolf from the scooter community and spends all his time after school honing his skills. Tyler Hainey, seven, has become the youngest person in Europe to land a backflip on a scooter The under-eight UK champion hopes to one day compete at the Olympics in scooter riding It took Tyler a few attempts to perfect the backflip but practice made perfect for the talented youngster With his father Brian, the 3ft7in youngster has travelled hundreds of miles to try out skate parks across the United Kingdom and he is under-eight scooter champion in the country. Confident Tyler has refused to be stopped by a few knocks and hopes to win gold if one day scooter riding enters the Olympics. Even a scar from a split chin needing five stitches earned while trying to land the impressive backflip has not put him off. He said: ‘I can’t believe I haven’t broken bones.’ On landing his first backflip, Tyler said: ‘It felt pretty hard first of all when I was trying to land it and when I got it more than three times in a row it was getting easier and easier. ‘It was amazing, my friends think I’m really good.’ Tyler hasn't broken any bones yet but suffered a split chin while attempting the backflip Tyler's father has built him a half-pipe in the back garden for practice for when he can’t go to the skate park The 3ft7in youngster has travelled the length and breadth of the country with his father Brian, 32, to compete Tyler boasts 6,000 followers on Instagram and already has three sponsors. His roof tiler father Brian, 32, has built his youngster a half-pipe in the back garden for practice for when Tyler can’t go to the skate park or comes in after kickboxing classes. Now he boasts a custom-built ride courtesy of his industry sponsor. Brian watched his son miss his first backflip attempt at a three-day competition in Corby before Tyler landed one to be crowned under-eight UK champion in November despite having an injured hand. Brian said: ‘He’s had some big crashes along the way but he stuck with it and this scooter event was a three day weekend.’ Tyler, who wears a helmet, pads and a gum protector, hopes to compete again soon.
