It was a few years into Michael Jackson's friendship with the Robson family when he decided he need to see more of Wade. And so, with the singer's held and financial backing, the Robsons were uprooted from Australia to Los Angeles. That move provoked to be the right one in the end for some reasons, the most notable being the exposure it gave Wade, It was not the right move for his father Dennis though, who would eventually take his own life in 2002 after he found himself alone in Australia with his family thousands of miles away. 'And I remember dad didn't say a word nothing at all. Kind of like a statue staring off in the distance. He then added: 'And then I remember saying goodbye and giving him a hug and I don't think he ever hugged me.' Shane described his father's state at the time by saying: 'The lights were on but no one was home.' The day that he left his father hanged himself. 'I think my response was anger,' said Shane. 'I brought all the children in for the night and we laughed and we cried and we laughed and we cried,' said Jane.
