Authorities in New York have subpoenaed the insurance brokerage firm that did business with the Trump Organization, following testimony by Michael Cohen that the company 'inflated' its balance sheet.

The subpoena issued by the state's Department of Financial Services seeks information on insurance broker Aon and its communications with President Trump and the Trump Organization, the New York Times reported.

The investigatory move comes days after longtime Trump lawyer Michael Cohen testified in Congress that Trump routinely boosted the value of his holdings in an effort to get better deals.
