Three children are recovering from a shocking incident in which a puppy they were taking outside was shot in the face.
The trio had gone outside briefly and their little dog, a 9-month-old Labrador retriever mix named Nolan, ran out after them near a Dallas apartment complex when a man who was walking by pulled out a gun and fired at the animal.
Genola Vance, who owns the dog said she asked her son and nephews to take out the trash and when they opened the door the dog followed them.
