Planting trees can no longer save humans from global warming because there is too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere
There isn't enough space on Earth to plant the amount of trees required to make a dent in carbon emissions If we planted 1.7 billion acres of trees, we could remove 3 billion tons of atmospheric carbon a year (10 percent of what humans emit annually) Scientists have looked as trees as a potential solution because they use carbon dioxide in order to grow, and release oxygen into the atmosphere But planting that many trees would cover half the land that is used to farm crops worldwide, leading to starvationBy Dailymail.com Reporter and Joe Pinkstone For Mailonline

It was recently revealed that young trees can absorb carbon dioxide better than established tropical rainforests, which seemed to be a dose of good news in the battle against global warming.
But studies have revealed that there is so much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that solely planting trees won't be enough to save humans.
And that's because there just isn't enough space on earth to plant the amount of trees that would be required to make a real dent in our carbon emissions.
