Teenage girls competing with in an Under 15s Ironwoman event have accused Surf Life Saving Queensland of sexism.

They allege that 16 finalists in the Under 15 Ironman event, at Queensland Youth Surf Life Saving Championships at Burleigh Heads, were called to their races over loudspeaker and were filmed with a professional camera.

Their images were also shared on social media.

However, girls who competed in the Under 15 Ironwoman final say they received next to no recognition.
