Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli brought the horse to water, but it just would not drink.
The embattled couple is currently facing up to five years in prison for falsely presenting their daughters as crew recruits at the University of Southern California and then allegedly paying over $500,000 in bribes to guarantee that both teens would be admitted to the school.
There were early signs however that the investment made by the two might not yield great returns, especially when their younger daughter Olivia decided to skip the first week of her freshman year and fly off to Fiji.

Holla at the scholar: She made no secret of the trip, posting photos daily to her Instagram account and later uploading a YouTube video from the trip (Olivia above in Fiji)
Olivia arrived at her dorm back on August 16 of last year, posting a photo of herself with a few other social media personalities after moving in just a few days before her first day of classes.
She and her pals did not spend long checking out the campus however, as one day after classes began Olivia posted a photo of herself in Fiji.
She remained in Fiji for the entire first week of classes, and made no secret about the trip.
Olivia posted daily on her Instagram account, with galleries that showed her posing on the tropical island while her fellow co-eds were stuck in class.
'Honeymoon season,' she wrote on a post of her and fellow YouTube personality Emma Chamberlain running down the beach.
The next day she was posing in a straw hat behind some palm leaves, writing: 'I like you Fiji, I like you a lot.'
The trip was funded by Dote, who flew a number of social media influencers to the island in exchange for promotional posts.
In addition to her Instagram snaps, Olivia also filmed a video of her trip which she uploaded when she returned to school.
She also got to work by doing a form room photo shoot with Teen Vogue, in partnership with Amazon.
Those partnerships and trips are a thing of the past now after this scandal.
Sephora and Tres Semme both dropped Olivia, and she has also reportedly put the brakes on her college career.
Overnight she has gone from a college student making upwards of seven figures a years to an unemployed drop out.
