On Saturday the body of toddler Noelani Robinson was found in a highway ditch in southeastern Minnesota after Milwaukee Police following a tip from Friday night. When officers arrived to the scene in rural Steele County, they found the body of a young child wrapped in a blanket. Chief Alfonso Morales announced the discovery Saturday morning saying authorities have preliminarily identified the body as Noelani, pending formal identification and preliminary autopsy results. 'This is going to be a death investigation,' Morales said on finding her body. Milwaukee police believe they have found the body of a missing two-year-old girl Noelani Robinson. Robinson went missing on Monday when her mother was discovered murdered Noelani went missing on Monday following what's believed to be a domestic dispute turned deadly. On Monday the child's mother Sierra Robinson, 24, was fatally shot and Noelani's father Dariaz Higgins was arrested, accused of her murder in Milwaukee. In that incident a friend of Robinson was also wounded. Higgins was arrested on Wednesday and charged with murder. He was not with Noelani at the time of his arrest and provided police with information on the whereabouts of his daughter that have 'proven to be untrue'. An expansive nation-wide search was launched for the little girl and an Amber Alert was issued. Milwaukee police announced a $5,000 reward for information on her whereabouts on Friday. An off-duty Department of Public Works employee called in the tip saying they saw something on the side of the road on Highway 218, near Austin, Minnesota.
