Cross-dressing pop star Marilyn was left baffled when he was reported for being ‘anti-transgender’.

The 1980s singer, right, was informed by Twitter last week that a complaint had been lodged against him after he posted a tweet rejecting the idea of ‘gender fluidity’ and insisting there were ‘only two sexes, male and female’.

But the star – real name Peter Robinson – said it was difficult to believe he would be accused of transphobia given that he is known for his androgynous style.
