There's a new deputy sheriff in Florida and he goes by the name of 'Deputy Shaq'.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office said former basketball star Shaquille O'Neal will now be working as a sheriff's deputy in the auxiliary department. 

'Basketball legend @SHAQ goes by many nicknames, and now added to that list is Deputy Shaq,' the sheriff's office announced in a tweet and on Facebook.  

'The big man now works as an auxiliary deputy with the #BSO,' the tweeted read.
