Suspected Christchurch shooter Brenton Tarrant could be deported to Australia as it is revealed he is facing additional murder and terrorism charges.
Tarrant appeared in court on Saturday where he was charged with one count of murder under the Crimes Act.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern told reporters on Sunday that the legal proceedings for the accused gunman were still in the early stages, but said she is 'seeking advice' on what will follow.
'Charges have been laid, we can expect additional charges, he'll be appearing in the High Court on the 5th of April, so there's obviously a process that needs to be gone through here,' she said.
