A hospital trust must pay £12million to an eight-year-old girl after staff failed to spot warning signs that she would be left disabled when she was born.
The girl's delivery in 2010 at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent was delayed and the child was starved of oxygen, leading to 'profound' disabilities.
Her lawyers sued Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, which admitted liability and apologised for the unacceptable standard of care.
