Mel B was FLUSH with cash at the time of her split with husband Stephen ...

Mel B 'made it rain' fistfuls of cash inside her $27,000 a month rented Beverly Hills mansion a few months before she claimed she was left so broke by her ex husband that she had to borrow money for Christmas presents, DailyMailTV can reveal.

The Spice Girl, recently dropped as a judge from America's Got Talent, posted a video of the extravagant act on her Instagram page on September 30, 2017. She split from Stephen Belafonte in March that year.

In the video Mel is seen laughing as the money showers her mother who is walking below a balcony inside the lavish five-bedroom mansion.

'This is what my mother woke up this morning boom (money emojis) haha she was shocked,' Mel captioned the video.

During the same period the star also took a week long family vacation to Hawaii, flew on a private jet to Las Vegas and threw an extravagant birthday party for daughter Madison, including real ponies.

Her opulent lifestyle stands in stark contrast to the life Mel painted on the steps of No 10 Downing Street in London last week.

Mel B had $4.3 million in assets - including $83K in her banking account - at the time she split from her husband Stephen Belafonte in early 2017. But the Spice Girl claimed she was left with just $936, saying: 'I had no money to buy Christmas presents... I had no money left. I was appalled'

But DailyMail.com has uncovered a very different situation, according to court documents as part of her divorce from Belafonte filed in L.A. in June 2017. Her opulent lifestyle stands in stark contrast to the life Mel painted on the steps of No 10 Downing Street in London last week

MEL B HAD $4.3M OF ASSETS AND CASH  WHILE SHE CLAIMED TO HAVE $936 IN THE BANK

According to court documents as part of her divorce from Belafonte filed in Los Angeles in June 2017,  a forensic accountant found that Mel's monthly income was $194,805 per month.

At the time of their split while she had $4.3 million in assets handy, including:

$83,002 cash in the bank

$68,873 in stocks and bonds

$5.2 million worth of property including her $8 million home

$210,000 diamond engagement ring

$128,000 in two Rolex

$50,000 wedding ring

Mel, a Women's Aid ambassador, presented the Economics of Abuse report commissioned by the charity to UK Prime Minister Theresa May's advisers, warning that two thirds of domestic abuse victims are also economically exploited by their partners.

The star was photographed holding the report and in an interview with British newspaper The Sun claimed she was left with just $936 after her split with ex-husband Stephen Belafonte in March 2017.

'I had no money to buy Christmas presents so I had help from my best friend who bought all the Christmas dinner for me and bought all the kids presents and stuff,' she told the paper.

'I had no money left. I was appalled – I wasn't even a signee on one of my bank accounts.'

But DailyMail.com has uncovered court documents that were part of her divorce from Belafonte filed in Los Angeles in June 2017, that reveal Mel was left a very wealthy woman.

The filing includes a declaration by forensic accountant Marie Ebersbacher who was commissioned by Belafonte's lawyers to analyze the couple's finances.

Ebersbacher found that Mel's monthly income was $194,805 per month at the time of their split while she had $4.3 million in assets.

Mel's own accountant and business manager Mike Sobelman, in his declaration, claimed her income was $166,982 per month, the difference being that he did not use the star's current AGT contract.

Also in the documents, Mel lists $83,002 cash in the bank, $68,873 in stocks and bonds, and $5.2 million in property including her $8 million home, $210,000 diamond engagement ring, two Rolex watches worth $80,000 and $48,000, and her $50,000 wedding ring.

Mel lists her monthly spending at almost $113,000 including $4,493 in restaurant bills, $2,012 in entertainment, gifts and vacation, and $38,150 in rent and mortgage payments.

Belafonte was also banned from the couple's $8 million house in the Hollywood Hills after she filed for a temporary restraining order, but instead of living in the home, Mel began renting a $27,000 per month mansion in Beverly Hills (pictured)

MEL SPLURGED ON EATING OUT, BEAUTY TREATMENTS AND CARS DESPITE BEING 'BROKE'

Mel listed her monthly spending at nearly $113,000, including:

$4,493 in restaurant bills

$2,012 in entertainment, gifts and vacation

$38,150 in rent and mortgage payments

$3,189 on rented cars, an Audi Q5, Audi A3, and a Range Rover

$4,247 on beauty and spa treatments

$10,114 on education for daughters Madison and Angel

The former pop star revealed in the documents she rented three cars, an Audi Q5, Audi A3, and a Range Rover, and spent more than $50,000 in the year on beauty and spa treatments.

The documents show in the year up to her divorce, Mel earned almost $2.2 million from her company, Osiris Inc., including $1.7 million from her role as a judge on America's Got Talent.

And more significantly, the analysis claims that Mel's contract for Season 12 of America's Got Talent was set to pay her $1.9 million in 2017.

DailyMail.com also understands the star receives $25,000 per month tax free in child support from actor and comedian Eddie Murphy, the father of her second daughter, Angel.

Eversbacher's report says that, contrary to the former pop star's claims, Belafonte had no income available for spousal support, while Mel had $194,805 available per month.

As part of the June 2017 divorce filing, Belafonte wrote a statement for the court saying rather than being left without financial control, Mel in fact seized the couple's business accounts when they split.

'After (Mel) fired our former business manager, she took over all the finances
