A mother who spent three years frustrated that her blue cabinet didn't match the rest of her furniture was shocked to discover that the blue was actually a layer of protective film she hadn't hadn't peeled off - and her three drawer unit was grey all along.
Kayleigh Greer, 35, bought the £150 cabinet from B&Q in summer 2016 to act as a TV stand in her and her husband Darren Greer's bedroom.
The mother-of-three, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire said she had asked the store if it had any other colours but was forced to buy the blue cabinet, as it was the only one in stock - despite it not matching their grey and silver bedroom.

The couple noticed some protective tape along the top of each drawer but decided to leave it in place.
However, last weekend Kayleigh was doing a deep clean of the house and decided to remove the tape.
Kayleigh, a national sales manager, started to peel the tape away and it came off with the blue plastic film that had been over the entire chest of drawers.
