Two rides at Disney World's theme park in Florida have been shut down and evacuated after a fire alarm went off by mistake.

Guests enjoying the world of Pandora, which is based on the movie Avatar, were forced to exit the Avatar Flight of Passage and the Na'vi River Journey rides on Wednesday.

The rides were temporarily closed after a fire alarm went off on both attractions, which are housed in the same show building, and reopened.

According to local news radio station 96.5 WDBO, there were reports of a 'burning' smell in the building.
