President Donald Trump is rolling out the red carpet for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu next week, hosting him for a two-day visit as the Israeli leader faces trouble at home and Trump tries to push a wedge among Democrats.
The two leaders 'will discuss their countries' shared interests and actions in the Middle East during a working meeting on March 25,' White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement Wednesday.
Trump also will host Netanyahu for dinner on the following evening.
The gesture is just the latest time Trump has embraced Netanyahu politically, even as he faces potential prosecution at home. Last month, Israel's attorney general said he planned to indict Netanyahu for bribery and fraud.
